Pan Zheng, Deputy Director of the NPC Standing Committee of Fujian Province, led the team to visit Guomai Group

On March 22, Pan Zheng, Deputy Director of the NPC (National People's Congress) Standing Committee of Fujian Province visited Guomai Group with the CPC (Communist Party of China) members and cadres from departments in the Committee. Chen Guoying, chairman of Guomai Group, introduced the development of technology integration and innovation of Guomai on the spot, and delivered the important spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping, which was addressed at the deliberation of Fujian delegation at the Second Session of the 13th NPC.

The growth of Guomai is a microcosm of the exploration and practice of "digital Fujian". NPC deputy Chen Guoying expressed his pride as a representative to speak on the behalf of Fujian delegation. Since his return to China to set up GMTech in 2000, the company has been focusing on the innovation and integration of science and technology. At the deliberation of Fujian province at the NPC, Chen Guoying systematically and comprehensively reported to General Secretary Xi Guomai’s exploration of development along with the advancement of "digital Fujian" and "digital China".

When speaking of integrated development, Chen Guoying believed that top-level design was the only choice when facing the transformation and upgrading of economic development. Guomai has based its strategic direction on the world's cutting-edge technology, integrating information technology and communications technology to form information and communications technology. Besides, Guomai has integrated information and communications technology and industrial technology to form the IoT technology. Moreover, it has also integrated IoT technology and data analysis technology to develop the application technology of artificial intelligence.

At the same time, Chen Guoying also pointed out that we should not just focus on low-level technological innovation. Instead, we should aim for high-level technological innovation. Guomai has blended information technology and biotechnology, integrated personal genome data in the field of medical and health, and has successfully built a precise medical platform with artificial intelligence, integrating "gene detection + real-time monitoring + integrated customized health management solution".

Deputy Director Pan Zheng said at the sharing meeting that “as China's aging problem is getting worse and worse, Guomai has solved some difficult problems in the elderly care industry through an intelligent scheme, which makes the industry more humane and precise”. Meanwhile, he said that “Fujian province has been promoting the mechanism of integrating industry, education and research. Chen Guoying, putting this mechanism into practice, founded Fuzhou Institute of Technology (FIT), and established and improved the mechanism of integrating industry, education and research oriented by ‘application’. In this way, he opened the channel of transformation from science and technology to real productivity, and injected more pragmatic innovative talents into enterprises”.

NPC deputy Chen Guoying's sharing was plain and humorous, and the atmosphere was warm. After listening to his sharing, participants were encouraged to express their deep understanding of General Secretary Xi's spirit of instruction.

Deputy Director Pan Zheng said at the end of the sharing meeting that he was touched by the word "mission" used by NPC deputy Chen Guoying. He noted that “this time, Chen Guoying reported to the General Secretary on behalf of the people in the whole province and made suggestions for the benefits of our country. Both his suggestions and the contents he reported to the General Secretary showed the sense of mission and responsibility of a NPC deputy”.

It is reported that through this sharing meeting, civil servants will learn from the NPC deputy and enter the frontline of practice, and understand the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speech in a more vivid way, so as to integrate it into the actual work of NPC.
